Environmental Science

Students in Environmental Science develop understanding of key concepts that help them make sense of the interactions between Earth science, physical science, and life science. The ideas are building upon students’ understanding of disciplinary ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts from earlier grades and previous high school science courses. There are six topics in environmental science: (1) Introduction to Environmental Science, (2) Ecology, (3) Populations, (4) Water, Air, and Land, (5) Mineral and Energy Resources, and (6) Our Health and Our Future.
